Beyond Ipanema

Beyond Ipanema has won two more awards! After a packed screening at the Colony Theater, in South Beach, the film received the Best Documentary and Best Sound Mix Award at the 14th Brazilian Film Festival of Miami. It was a huge honor to be selected by the jury for these two awards. The sound mix for Beyond Ipanema was done by the incredible Tom Paul at Gigantic Studios, New York.

The film continues to be part of the Inffinito Circuit, with stops in London, Montevideo (Uruguay) and Buenos Aires (Argentina).

We were delighted to be awarded with the Crystal Lens at the third Brazilian Film Festival of Vancouver! It was a huge honor to be chosen by the festival’s audience as the best film of the event - especially considering the fantastic quality of all the other films!

Our dear friend and Brazilian Partner Bianca De Felippes (below), from Gávea Films, accepted the award on our behalf. Thanks to Inffinito for inviting Beyond Ipanema to be part of their festivals!

This Friday, May 28th, Beyond Ipanema will be shown in Mexico City at the fantastic new festival DISTRITAL.MX. Let your Mexican friends know!

Beyond Ipanema will be shown in Amsterdam this Summer!

The film is part of the Brazilian Summer Sessions 2010, which is held at Bimhuis from June 5th to July 10th. Beyond Ipanema is the closing attraction of this exciting festival, with a screening on July 10th at 8:00 PM. Get your tickets early!

We’re happy to announce that BEYOND IPANEMA will be an Official Selection of the SXSW Film Festival 2010. The film will screen on March 18th at 9:30 PM at the Alamo Ritz 1 Theater. The screening is part of the festival’s exciting 24 Beats Per Second section. Get your badges/tickets ready!

We’re also excited that our friends from Garotas Suecas (a great band from São Paulo, featured in BEYOND IPANEMA) will be playing at SXSW. You should definitely check out their stuff!
